A case of a tampered check

In this case the document alteration was demonstrated by high resolution digital macrophotography: while in the check's overall picture (photo 1, taken with no particular devices) it is impossible to spot any falsification, in the digital enlargement (photo 2) one can detect traces of
scratching and tiny printed dots as a residue of the former entry before the erasure (these signs show up among the asterisks and the figures now composing the new numerical sum).
